Will the colours run onto the off white background?
No. The fabric is colour-fast and does not bleed on the first wash. Dry clean it the first time, then a gentle cold hand wash keeps it looking new.
Does an off white fabric need a lining?
No. The fabric is opaque, so no lining or aster is needed. Some customers still add one to elevate the drape, but that is a styling choice rather than a requirement.
How do I know it is genuinely hand block printed?
Look closely at the repeats. Every motif is stamped from a hand-carved wooden block, so the spacing shifts a little from one impression to the next and the colour sits slightly differently in each. A screen or machine print gives a flawless, identical repeat; this one never does, and that is your proof it was printed by hand.
What is in the set and how much fabric is there?
Three unstitched pieces: a top of 2.5 metres and a bottom of 2.5 metres, both 44 to 45 inches wide, and a dupatta of 2.5 metres at 35 to 36 inches wide.
Can it be stitched for a plus size?
Yes. There is enough fabric to stitch a straight kurta set up to 4XL, and the length can be customised for larger sizes.
What if the piece is not what I hoped for?
If the shade or the quality is not what you hoped for, we will exchange it.
