Off-White Cotton Kota Doria Saree, Paisley Border | Kislay
An off-white with an ornamental paisley border.
Direct from master artisan Haq Nawaz, Kota — the border worked in his unit.
A wide ornamental paisley border anchors a sparse off-white Kota Doria cotton.
Why this piece
Light and semi-sheer — the open cotton weave stays cool and near-weightless; wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse for full cover.
The border is the piece — a wide, decorative paisley band runs the base, with only small scattered motifs across the body.
Easy daily white — airy for long workdays, and pairs with almost any blouse.
The pattern
The off-white body is kept sparse with small scattered paisley and geometric motifs, while a wide ornamental paisley border runs along the base, picked out in bright pink and light green. The border does the decorative work; the body stays open.
The fabric
Kota Doria is a cotton khat weave of tiny square checks you can see against the light. It is semi-sheer by nature, which keeps it cool for summer and long working days.

Is this Kota Doria all cotton?
Yes — cotton in the open khat (square-check) weave. That open weave is what keeps this off-white piece light, semi-sheer and breathable.
Where is the embroidery concentrated?
On the border — a wide ornamental paisley band runs the base in bright pink and light green, with only small scattered motifs across the off-white body.
How sheer is it, and how should I pair it?
It is semi-sheer, as cotton Kota Doria is. Wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse; a white or nude petticoat keeps the ground even.
Does it come with a blouse piece, and how do I wash it?
Yes, an unstitched blouse piece is included. Handwash gently in cold water and dry in shade; the embroidery holds best with gentle care.
