Pink Cotton Kota Doria Saree, Floral-Paisley Border | Kislay

A wide floral-paisley border runs the base of a soft blush-pink Kota Doria cotton.

Why this piece

•
Light and semi-sheer — the open cotton weave stays cool and near-weightless; wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse for full cover.

•
Border-led — a wide band of dense floral and paisley runs the base, with small motifs scattered across the body.

•
Breathes through the day — a workwear pick for long office hours.

The pattern

The blush-pink body is kept sparse with small scattered floral and paisley motifs, while a wide band of dense floral and paisley work runs along the bottom edge, with notes of green, purple and white. The border carries the detail; the body stays light.

The fabric

Kota Doria is a cotton khat weave of tiny square checks you can see against the light. It is semi-sheer by nature, which keeps it cool for summer and long office hours.

Is this Kota Doria all cotton?
Yes — cotton in the open khat (square-check) weave. That open weave is what keeps this pink piece light, semi-sheer and breathable.

Is the body or the border more worked?
The border — a wide band of dense floral and paisley work runs the base, while the blush-pink body carries only small scattered motifs.

How sheer is it, and how should I pair it?
It is semi-sheer, as cotton Kota Doria is. Wear it over a petticoat with a fitted blouse; a pink or skin-tone petticoat keeps the ground even.

Does it come with a blouse piece, and how do I wash it?
Yes, an unstitched blouse piece is included. Handwash gently in cold water and dry in shade; the embroidery holds best with gentle care.
